Recently, I don't know whether the boss is hot or wants me to leave. He even thought about using a general-purpose MCU to do MPEG decoding and LCD controller. He also asked me to come up with a report within a week.
His idea is this. The MCU reads the JPEG or MPEG4 data through the USB interface and then decodes it with software, and sends it to the LCD screen for display through this MCU. I have heard about decoding JPEG and MPEG4 with software, but I do n’t need LCD control IC And I have directly used a general-purpose MCU to control the screen. I have never heard of it. The signals such as TCON and synchronization required by the LCD screen, and what brightness and contrast adjustment can be achieved with a general-purpose MCU. I do n’t have any clues. Is the boss's technical level too high? I do n’t know if there is any expert who can give pointers. Is this possible? Or is the boss just trying to let me back?
By the way, I used to be responsible for maintaining LCD control IC programs in the company, such as WELTREND, MSTAR, etc., but these chips are used directly to implement the functions of the LCD control IC through general-purpose MCU (without LCD controller). But it's unheard of. Little, consulted here, you must die to understand. |
